The South African Museums Association has a proud tradition of offering South African Museums and those interested in them opportunities to participate in the development of the sector by contributing to the activities of the association.

Internationally Museums Associations play a crucial role in the preservation and management of heritage resources and SAMA's role in the management, protection and use of these in South Africa is no exception. Membership is therefore vital for both personal growth and in order to strengthen the collaborative potential of the association.
